Beijing, Sept. 28 -- China's Xinhua news agency launched the Beijing Olympics News Service (BONS) on a trial basis Friday to enhance its English language coverage of events and preparations for the 2008 Games in the Chinese capital.

The multimedia news service will start formal operation Oct 8 and end Oct 8, 2008.
