Article: Sharpton expands National Action Network to Chicago

CHICAGO (Real Times News Service)-Reverend Al Sharpton made it clear that he did not come to Chicago to start trouble, but to stop it.

His mission is to sanitize the negative music lyrics and to hold the city's elected officials accountable on issues of police brutality.

In front of the historic Regal Theater on East 79th Street last week, Sharpton announced the opening of a Chicago chapter of the New York-based National Action Network. Its first order of business-a 20-city kickoff rally in the Loop on Aug. 7, dubbed the national "Day of Outrage."

The rally's mission is to combat the music industry's use of foul language towards minorities and women.
