Article: MOHAVE COUNTY PREPARES FOR SMOKE-FREE ARIZONA

Mohave County issued the following meeting news release:

The Smoke-Free Arizona Act will be effective on May 1 and Mohave County is offering to help smokers snuff out their habit.

"The deadline is coming up and we want to make sure everyone is educated on the law," Mohave County Department of Public Health Director Patty Mead said. "Our Environmental Health Division will handle the enforcement and our grant-funded Tobacco Use Prevention Program (MCTUPP) will offer classes and other assistance to help individuals quit smoking."
