San Jose State University issued the following press release:
San José State University inaugurated its sesquicentennial celebration with the opening of an extraordinary year-long historical exhibit, "Where Tradition Meets Tomorrow," at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library in San José. The exhibit, on the second floor, is free and open to the public.
"The exhibit pays tribute to those who helped build San José State into Silicon Valley's largest institution of higher learning," said President Don W. Kassing. "We honor our 180,000 distinguished alumni as well as the many employees and friends of the university who made SJSU what it is today."
