Article: ASSEMBLYMAN KOON: VIOLENT VIDEO GAMES DANGEROUS FOR CHILDREN

Assemblyman David Koon, D-Fairport (135th District), issued the following press release:

Assemblyman David Koon (D/I-Perinton) announced the Assembly has passed legislation prohibiting the sale of violent and sexually indecent video games to minors (A. 8696). This legislation would make selling these types of video games to minors a class E felony.

"The video game industry is continuing to grow," Koon said. "More and more children play video games now than ever before. The video games that are being produced are increasingly graphic and can be harmful to our children.
