Pennsylvania State Rep. Ron Marsico, R-Dauphin (105th District), issued the following news release:
Rep. Ron Marsico (R-Lower Paxton), Republican chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, recently introduced House Bill 1817, which will amend Pennsylvania's Wiretap Act by allowing prosecutors to admit evidence obtained from lawful interceptions conducted in another state or by the federal government.
"This legislation will allow the Commonwealth to present testimony based on lawful wiretaps performed by the federal government or in other states even where the specific provisions of the Pennsylvania Wiretap Act have not been met," Marsico said.
