Charlotte County issued the following news release:
Dr. J. "Coz" Cozzi, scientist at Mote Marine Laboratories will speak at 1:00 pm on Friday, October 19, 2007 at the Charlotte County Historical Center. He will talk about the current Charlotte Harbor Shipwreck Survey for which he has received a state grant after completing a successful pilot program. This talk is in conjunction with the Historical Center's current exhibit Shipwreck Treasures.
Charlotte Harbor, which laps at the shores of Lee and Charlotte counties, is Florida's second largest bay and has one of the state's deepest natural inlets, Boca Grande. Its been traveled by seafarers for centuries - from the Calusa, to the Spanish to ...
