Article: Sen. Salazar Introduces Preserving Access to Laboratory Services Act

WASHINGTON, Oct. 3 -- Sen. Ken Salazar, D-Colorado, has introduced the Preserving Access to Laboratory Services Act of 2007 (S. 2099), legislation that would "amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to repeal the Medicare competitive bidding demonstration project for clinical laboratory services."

The bill, introduced on Sept. 26, was co-sponsored by Sens. Pat Roberts, R-Kansas, and Maria Cantwell, D-Washington. It was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
