The city of Long Beach issued the following news release:

On Wednesday, October 10, The Rotary Club of Long Beach will celebrate its 90 years in Long Beach by planting 90 trees in one day throughout the city. All 90 trees will be placed in city parks in all nine Long Beach city council districts. A symbolic "first tree," representing the 90th anniversary of Rotary Club of Long Beach and the 90 trees, will be planted at 10:30 a.m. in Rotary Centennial Park at the corner of Pacific Coast Highway and Junipero.
