The Kentucky Attorney General issued the following open records decision:
In re: Kevin Smart/Kenton Circuit Court Clerk
Summary: Decision adopting 98-ORD-6; records in the custody of the circuit court are properly characterized as court records to which the Open Records Act does not apply. Accordingly, the actions of the Kenton Circuit Court Clerk relative to a request for court records related to a certain criminal case cannot be said to have violated the Open Records Act.
