Rep. Michael Ferguson, R-N.J. (7th CD), issued the following press release:
Rep. Mike Ferguson, R-N.J., announced Tuesday that the Westfield Fire Department will receive a $68,027 grant from the Homeland Security Department to purchase new safety equipment.
The funding is the squad's second federal security grant in recent years. Westfield firefighters in 2004 received $133,920 to purchase safety equipment.
Ferguson made the announcement with Mayor Andrew Skibitsky and Westfield Fire Department officials.
The funds will underwrite the cost of purchasing two emergency generators - one for each of Westfield's two firehouses. Each generator would be specially equipped to ensure the firehouse ...
