New York City Comptroller William C. Thompson, Jr. today announced that Campbell Soup Company has adopted a resolution filed by the New York City Pension Funds urging the company to report on its social and environmental practices.

"Shareholders increasingly seek disclosure of companies' social and environmental practices in the belief that this information is necessary for making well-informed investment decisions as it speaks to the vision and stewardship of management and can have significant impacts on a company's brand, reputation and on shareholder value," Thompson said.
