Karachi, Oct. 14 -- The Pakistan Government will deploy 3,500 police and paramilitary troops to guard former premier Benazir Bhutto when she returns on October 18, an official ha said.
The elaborate security arrangements are being made after a court ruled that Bhutto - who faces threats from pro-Taliban Islamic militants - be provided maximum protection, the official said on condition of anonymity.
