KIDS at Queenston School are giving up a day off -- today is their teachers' in-service day -- to show just how inadequate their gym is.
The Queenston School Gym Committee is holding a news conference in the school to step up its long-running campaign to get a gym for the 76-year-old school.
"We're continuing our mission. There's going to be students involved -- we're going to try some sports in the gym," parent activist Colleen McFadden said Sunday.
McFadden said that parents are willing to help with fundraising for a gym, but stressed, "We pay our taxes -- we want what all children deserve."
