The California State Assembly Democratic Caucus issued the following news release:

The Governor signed Assembly Bill (AB) 1063 authored by Assemblymember Noreen Evans (D-Santa Rosa), Chair of the Assembly Democratic Caucus, to help the Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District protect land in Sonoma County.

"Agricultural land and open space define Sonoma County," said Evans. "We have an obligation to protect it for future generations. This bill removes an obstacle that has hindered our ability to do so."
