Article: HOUSING & FAMILY SERVICES, PUBLIC HEALTH & WELLNESS DEPARTMENTS TO HOLD LEAD POISONING PREVENTION EVENTS

The city of Louisville issued the following news release:

27th is National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week. The Louisville Metro Department of Housing and Family Services and the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness will hold the following special events in observance of National Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Week. All events are free.

Monday, October 22nd - 1 to 4 p.m.

Door-to-Door Education and Service Promotion in the Shelby Park and Smoketown Communities.

Housing and Public Health and Wellness Department staff will distribute information on the Lead Safe Louisville Project, on toy recalls, and on childhood lead poisoning prevention.
