Rise up against the silent killer

There is a secret in the Black American community and it is killing more community members than any other cause. What is this deadly secret? It is the fact that cardiovascular diseases, in many cases known as silent killers, claim the lives of more than 32 percent of the Black men and 40 percent of the Black women who die each year. While heart disease continues to hold the unfortunate ranking of being the number one killer of Black Americans, it tends to follow other serious diseases in news coverage and among community members.
