Article: India-Finland trade to touch $1 billion

New Delhi, Oct. 23 -- Bilateral trade between India and Finland is poised to reach $ one billion (Rs.39.6 billion) soon from the current $800 million (Rs.31.7 billion) and is expected to double by 2011, Commerce and Industry Minister Kamal Nath said Tuesday.

"Finland has been an important investor in India. Our bilateral trade had been growing very rapidly with more and more Finnish and Indian small and medium enterprises investing in both the countries," Kamal Nath told reporters here after meeting with Finland's Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Paavo Vayrynen.
