Rep. Robert E. 'Bud' Cramer Jr., D-Ala. (5th CD), issued the following news release:

U.S. Representative Bud Cramer (Ala.-05), Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence's Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, announced today that the House approved legislation to prevent homegrown terrorism across the country.

The Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act establishes the National Commission on the Prevention of Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism. Homegrown terrorism is defined as the use or planned use of violence by an individual or group born or based in the United States.
