Article: SACRAMENTO ATTORNEY WILLIAM ERETH PLEADS NO CONTEST TO TWO MISDEMEANOR COUNTS OF VIOLATING INSURANCE CODE SECTION 750

The Sacramento County District Attorney issued the following press release:

On October 22, 2007, Sacramento Attorney William Ereth, 48, pled no contest to two misdemeanor counts of violating Insurance Code Section 750, Unlawful Payment for Referral of Clients. Ereth was sentenced to 90 days in the county jail and place on three years probation.

Between 12/14/00 and 6/5/03, Ereth allowed a non-attorney named John Tran to share office space with him and to practice law in representing multiple clients in 16 personal injury cases.
