Article: HOUSE PASSES LEACH BILL TO REMOVE SALES TAX ON ENERGY-EFFICIENT LIGHT BULBS

Pennsylvania State Rep. Daylin Leach, D-Montgomery (149th District), issued the following news release:

The House of Representatives unanimously passed a bill today introduced by state Rep. Daylin Leach, D-Montgomery, that would encourage the use of energy-saving light bulbs and promote energy efficiency and energy independence in Pennsylvania.

The bill (H.B. 8[1 ]), considered during the Special Session on Energy, would establish a sales and use tax exclusion for the retail sale of Energy Star-qualified compact fluorescent lamps, commonly known as energy-saving light bulbs.
