The office of Sen. Robert Menendez, D-N.J., issued the following news release:
The New Jersey State Police recently released its 2007 Street Gang Survey, revealing troubling news that gangs have rapidly spread from urban areas to suburban and rural areas of New Jersey. According to the report, seven out of ten New Jersey residents live in municipalities where gang activity can be found.
