Alabama Department of Environmental Management issued the following public notice:

Pursuant to the provisions of the Alabama Environmental Management Act, the Alabama Department of Environmental Management is proposing to issue an Order to the Alabama Department of Transportation, which operates a facility located on I-20 Westbound near the Georgia State Line, in Cleburne County, Alabama.
The Order addresses NPDES permit violations for exceeding the discharge limits established in the Permit and for failure to submit a timely application for permit renewal.
The Department is proposing a civil penalty in the amount of $5,500 and stipulated penalties for future violations ...
