Pennsylvania State Rep. Samuel H. Smith, R-Armstrong (66th District), issued the following news release:
A bill that will facilitate the construction of a communications tower in Winslow Township to aid in the implementation of a single radio system for all of Jefferson County's first responders is on the governor's desk for signature, according to House Republican Leader Sam Smith (R-Jefferson).
The land conveyance bill would authorize the transfer of land from the Department of General Services to Jefferson County in order for the communications tower to be constructed. The tower will serve as the conduit to link emergency responders throughout Jefferson County.
