From the Editor

In 2000 the New York Folklore Society bunched a new magazine format, Voices: The Journal of New York Folklore. The purpose of this transformation from the previous journal, New York Folklore, was to provide a forum for the widest representation of the state's many voices through accessible presentation of folklore activities and scholarship.
