Article: WASHINGTON: Human Remains Culturally Affiliated with Narragansett Indian Tribe of Rhode Island

WASHINGTON, Oct. 31 - The National Park Service has announced completion of an inventory of human remains in the possession of the Robert S. Peabody Museum of Archaeology, Phillips Academy, Andover, Mass., under the provisions of the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act.

Officials of the museum have determined there is a relationship of shared group identity between the Native American human remains and the Narragansett Indian Tribe of Rhode Island.Representatives of any other Indian tribe that believes itself to be culturally affiliated with the human remains should contact Malinda S.
