Rep. Chris Carney, D-Pa. (10th CD), has issued the following news release:
Congressman Christopher P. Carney has called on Chairman Nancy Nord of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission to put children first and reconsider her opposition to legislation designed to strengthen her agency.
"My office and I have been working with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission to keep our children's toys safe and take recalled items off the shelf. Part of this includes supporting legislative initiatives to strengthen the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission's authority and increase its ability to monitor and recall unsafe toys.
