WASHINGTON, Nov. 5 -- Rep. Bobby L. Rush, D-Illinois, has introduced the Consumer Product Safety Modernization Act (H.R. 4040), legislation that would "establish consumer product safety standards and other safety requirements for children's products and to reauthorize and modernize the Consumer Product Safety Commission."
The bill, introduced on Nov. 1, has 48 co-sponsors. It was referred to the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
