Article: Senate Judiciary Committee Reviews Intellectual Property Rights Enforcement

WASHINGTON, Nov. 8 -- The Senate Judiciary Committee conducted a hearing "to examine the United States government enforcement of intellectual property rights," according to a committee notice published in the Congressional Record.

The hearing was focused on the following measures:

* S. 522 - To safeguard the economic health of the United States and the health and safety of the United States citizens by improving the management, coordination, and effectiveness of domestic and international intellectual property rights enforcement, and

* S. 2317 - To amend titles 17 and 18, United States Code, and the Trademark Act of 1946 to strengthen and harmonize the protection of intellectual ...
