An attempt has been made in the present study to identify the channels involved in marketing, to estimate the marketing cost, market margins, price spread and producer's share in consumer's rupee in different marketing channels of milk in Amravati district of Maharashtra. The primary data for the year 2002-03 were collected by survey method from 80 milk producers, 16 each randomly selected from five villages of the study district. Four breeds of animals, viz., local cow, crossbred cow, local buffalo and improved buffalo were considered for the study.
