Article: STATE REP. DEMBOWSKI WILL TACKLE TIME ZONE ISSUES IN 2008 LEGISLATIVE SESSION

Indiana State Rep. Nancy Dembowski, D-17th District, issued the following news release:

State Rep. Nancy Dembowski (D-Knox) will introduce a bill during the 2008 legislative session that will allow residents of Indiana counties bordering the dividing line between Eastern and Central time to have a voice in what time zone they prefer to live in.

The yet-to-be-numbered House Bill will allow a referendum to be placed on local ballots asking voters whether they prefer their current time zone or if they wish to be moved to the alternate time zone.
