Director prepares to pass museum baton

It's not the way Cindi Morrison expected it to end.

Morrison, executive director of the Lancaster Museum of Art for the past decade, wanted to end her career there once the museum moved into a 35,000-square-foot building on North Queen Street. The museum, now on North Lime Street, purchased the building and an adjacent parking lot three years ago with dreams of more space, new exhibits and greater visibility.

Those dreams have yet to come to fruition. The museum's negotiations to sell the parking lot to Red Rose Transit Authority have dragged on for two years.
