Rep. Lamar Smith, R-Texas (21st CD), issued the following news release:

House Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Lamar Smith (R-TX) today joined 154 members of Congress in introducing a bill to prohibit states from issuing driver's licenses to illegal immigrants. The Prevention of Unsafe Licensing Act ensures that only legal residents of the U.S. can obtain driver's licenses and identification documents.
