Article: Sen. McCaskill Introduces Inspector General Reform Act

WASHINGTON, Nov. 26 -- Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Missouri, has introduced the Inspector General Reform Act of 2007 (S. 2324), legislation that would "amend the Inspector General Act of 1978 (5 U.S.C. App.) to enhance the Offices of the Inspectors General, to create a Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency."

The bill, introduced on Nov. 8, was co-sponsored by Sens. Susan Collins, R-Maine; Joe Lieberman, ID-Connecticut; and Tom Coburn, R-Oklahoma. It was referred to the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.
