GEORGIA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY President Wayne Clough no doubt was half jesting when he told student radio station WREK an easy way to pronounce his name: "rough, tough, Clough" But it also fit the robust, can-do image of the famed engineering school with the boisterous fight song in the middle of Atlanta. Georgia Tech was founded in 1885 by Atlantans hoping to push post-bellum Georgia into the industrial age.
