Article: Palm oil products for the Middle East

Golden Hope Plantations Bhd. (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) was reported on July 25 by Bemama.com to be considering promotion of palm oil products in the Middle East, possibly using Dubai as its distribution center. Mohd. Fadzil Abdullah, the company's senior manager, retail marketing and branding, oils and fats, said that Golden Hope was keen to push products like ghee and SAFaR, a specialty animal fat replacer, into the Middle East markets.

He also said that the group's "Delico" ghee, produced from 100% pure palm oil, was already popular in Saudi Arabia.
