The Illinois Emergency Management Agency issued the following news release:
In the spirit of the holiday season, First Lady Patricia Blagojevich today lit the Holiday Tree at the James R. Thompson Center and launched this year's annual Keep Our Kids Warm and Safe giving campaign - an effort to collect winter clothing and car seats for children who need them.
"Especially during these cold winter months, every parent worries about keeping their children healthy and safe," said Mrs. Blagojevich. "The Keep Our Kids Warm and Safe campaign helps make sure that children who need warm coats or child safety seats can get them."
