Article: Taiwanese Inventor Develops Multicolor Light Source

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 29 -- Tai-Cherng Yu of Tu-Cheng, Taiwan, has developed a multicolor light source.

According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A backlight module includes a light guide plate and a light source. The light guide plate includes a light incident surface opposite to the light source."An abstract of the invention, released by the Patent Office, said: "The light source includes a plurality of multicolor based light emitting diodes (LEDs) and the LEDs each includes a plurality of LED chips (120A/B/C).
