Article: Nepali Congress slams Maoist reshuffle demand

NEW DELHI, India, Dec. 1 -- Vexed with the Maoists' demanding a cabinet reshuffle, the Nepali Congress on Saturday urged the Left parties not to talk about power division.

The Left parties - Communist Party of Nepal (UML), Maoists and the Communist Party of Nepal (Unity Centre) on Friday demanded an immediate reshuffle of the cabinet led by Prime Minister GirijaPrasad Koirala. The Maoists proposed to restructure the government claiming that it is completely dominated by members of the Nepali Congress. Nepali Congress lawmakers hold important portfolios like Home, Defence, Finance and Peace and Reconstruction.
