Article: German Inventors Develop Respiratory Allergy Treating Method

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 4 -- Harald Renz, Nicole Bluemer and Holger Garn, all from Harburg, Germany, and Udo Herz of Kirchhain, Germany, have developed a respiratory allergy treating method .

According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention is directed to a novel method for preventing or treating the development of respiratory allergies. The method comprises prenatal and/or postnatal administration of a therapeutically effective amount of LGG."The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,303,745 on Dec. 4.

The patent has been assigned to Bristol-Myers Squibb Co., Princeton, N.J.
