Arizona Inventors Develop Optically Clear Structural Laminates Making Method

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 5 -- Michael C. Miller of Chandler, Ariz., Timothy J. Krey of Phoenix, Donald J. Bridges of Mesa, Ariz., and James L. Melquist of Tempe, Ariz., have developed a structural laminates making method.

According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An optically clear structural laminate includes a thermosetting resin, a silane coupling agent and a filler. The laminate has a high weight to strength ratio and is capable of optical transmission over a wide range of temperatures.
