WASHINGTON, Dec. 10 -- Rep. Thaddeus McCotter, R-Michigan, has introduced a resolution (H.Res. 838) "welcoming His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI on his first apostolic visit to the U.S."

The resolution was introduced on Dec. 4. It was referred to the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
