The city of Sioux City issued the following news release:
December 31 is the deadline to file for Urban Revitalization Tax Exemption on eligible properties which received property improvements in this calendar year. Physical improvements made to properties located in urban revitalization areas may be eligible for up to 10 years of tax abatement.
All residential properties within the City of Sioux City corporate limits (with the exception of lots in Woodbury Heights Fourth Filing) are located in the City-Wide Urban Revitalization Area.
Urban Revitalization Tax Exemption provides partial tax abatement for up to 10 years on the increased value of property resulting from physical improvements. ...
