The Michigan Department of Natural Resources issued the following news release:
The Michigan Fisheries Visitor Center has announced its winter weekend interpretative programs for 2008. The center is located in Oden on US-31, approximately six miles east of Petoskey.
On Saturday, Dec. 15, the center will offer a program called "Fish Fossil Funk." The program begins at 2 p.m. and is for families and children ages 5-14. All participants will take home their own homemade "fossil." A tour of the fish hatchery also will be offered.
On Saturday, Dec. 29, there will be a Winter Ecology Hike starting at noon at the visitor center. If there is snow, the hike will take place on snowshoes. There are a ...
