Gov. Kathleen Sebelius, D-Kan., issued the following press release:

Governor Kathleen Sebelius has named Patrick H. Thompson judge of the 28th judicial district, encompassing Ottawa and Saline counties.

"Pat's legal experience and commitment to his community will serve the people of the 28th judicial district well," Sebelius said. "I'm confident he will be a respected and impartial jurist."

Thompson graduated from Benedictine College in Atchison before going on to earn his juris doctorate from the University of Kansas in 1980.
