Houghton announces merger deal

Valley Forge, Pa.-based, Houghton International, Inc., a global manufacturer and supplier of industrial fluids and chemical management services, has entered into an agreement to merge with a newly formed affiliate of AEA Investors LLC.

Houghton says it doesn't anticipate any immediate changes in its facilities, employment or range of product and service offerings. Also, all of its senior management members are expected to continue with the company. After the merger, the business is expected to continue operating under the Houghton International name.
