Article: Pachauri welcomes Bali accord

New Delhi, Dec. 18 -- Chairman of the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), Rajendra Pachauri, has welcomed last weekend's accord at Bali in Indonesia to launch negotiations on a new pact to fight global warming.

"It's important that global community starts cutting down on emission of greenhouse gases. You cannot allow one set of countries to continue to emit all these gases and the suffering is carried out by another set of countries who are not at all responsible for this problem. We have to see that whatever was decided in Bali is actually implemented with a sense of urgency and sense of fairness," ...
