The city of Reno issued the following news release:

Reno Fire Station # 1 will be a center of creative Christmas activities for a group of downtown children from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 23, as current and retired Reno firefighters, their families and other volunteers gather to hold the firefighters' annual Christmas holiday party for children in transition.

Last year, an estimated 300 children and family members and volunteers gathered for the special Christmas party that is annually supported by donations from Reno firefighters, local businesses, artists and various volunteers. The children will have an opportunity to make Christmas ornaments and gifts, play games, ...
