ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 19 -- Henry Whitfield of Palo Alto, Calif., has developed a linking method for printed telephone number.

According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention comprises a graphic designation method for visually differentiating each number individually for a set of telephone numbers within a printed telephone directory.
