The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation issued the following news release:
A winter storm that brought a mixed bag of precipitation across Pennsylvania Sunday will continue with snow showers in Pennsylvania late in the day and overnight. Strong winds and the refreezing of road surfaces are possible, and motorists need to watch their speeds and drive with extreme caution.
"Much of the storm has moved to our east, but the effects of significant icing have caused many problems with downed trees blocking roads and triggering power interruptions," said Richard Flinn, deputy director for the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency.
